Making Plans for Boston
Today, I realized that May 27-30 is not that far away, so I’d better start preparing for the Club Industry East conference in Boston. I checked flights and can get a good price on Midwest (non-stop and with chocolate chip cookies!).
I then started to review the session schedule, starting with the keynote and the panel session, both of which look interesting. As an avid “Today” show viewer, I’m excited about meeting Nancy Snyderman, MD, who is the chief medical editor for NBC News and will be the keynote presenter at our show. I’m also excited about the panel session (scroll down on the link), “It Is Easy Being Green: Saving Money (and the Planet) with Simple Green Ideas,” which includes some good panelists that I think should bring some valuable ideas to the session.
This year, I’ll be presenting a seminar at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 29, about how to get published in a magazine. My co-presenter will be Nitin Chhoda, fitness professional and physical therapist with Total Activation. It’s the first time I’ve presented at CI East, so I’m excited about participating in a new way at our conference.
If you are on the East Coast and you haven’t signed up for the show yet, take a look at the schedule and consider coming. The CI East trade show and conference is a more intimate show than CI National, so you have more opportunity to really visit with exhibitors and participate in the great seminars that are planned for this year.
Next week, I hope to be able to share with you the name of our 2009 Lifetime Achievement winner and the keynote speaker for the Club Industry national show in Chicago. Stay tuned!
