We all know that few people like to exercise, and we think that overweight people would feel even more uncomfortable about exercising than normal weight people. more

The other day, I asked Mark Mastrov, co-founder of New Evolution Fitness Co., a favor for an upcoming story. He said he’d get back to me in 24 hours. When reminded that “24 hours” had a familiar ring to it, Mastrov, the founder of 24 Hour Fitness, said it was just a habit and added he’d get back to me in 25 hours.
Some habits really are hard to break.
When I read about Lincoln University’s requirement that students with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher must take a fitness course, I initially thought this was a good idea. However, upon thinking about the situation a bit further, I’m not sure that singling out these students is such a good idea. more
